This time of year there are quite a few last-minute messages that need to get to Santa. Your regular mail carrier can probably get the job done but what if there was a mailbox that went directly to the North Pole?

Luckily for Hudosn Valley residents especially those in Port Ewen Smitty's Deli has a direction to Santa. If you are hoping to get word to Santa before December 25th you may need to make a plan to get to Smitty's

How to Get A Letter to Santa from the Hudson Valley

I am going to assume that Santa knows about Smitty's because of their delicious food and their decades of serving it up to the community. I think Santa has Smitty's on his list of places to stop over for a quick bite for him and the reindeer as they fly through Ulster County.

So how can you get your last-minute note to Santa? Simple by dropping a letter to him in the North Pole mailbox that has been installed on the porch of the deli. Stop by and drop it off and Smitty's will be sure that your letter gets to Santa in time for Christmas.

Where to Mail a Letter to Santa in Ulster County

I went by to check in on exactly when is the last time the mail will be getting picked up for Santa and the elves working behind the counter told me that if you get your letter in by December 18th you should be good. Be sure to include a return address so you can get Santa's reply.

I also suggest that you stop into Smitty's to grab a bite. I had time to watch them make a sandwich or two. If you are a fan of a good old-fashioned deli sandwich I don't think you will be disappointed by a sub sandwich from Smitty's.
