Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!

It seems as if there's a new, fun holiday to celebrate every day. Today is one of my favorites. It's National Teacher Appreciation Day. Take some time out of your day to thank your favorite teacher or even your child's favorite teacher.

May 1st through the 7th is Teacher Appreciation week, but today (May 3rd) is the day when teachers can celebrate and get some really great freebies. If you're a teacher here are some companies that will help you celebrate. The International Business Times has a great list of freebies including these:

JCrew: 15% off at checkout. Not available for online or phone purchases.
Anne Taylor Loft: They offer discounts all year round with the Loft Loves Teacher program. Jo-ann Fabrics: Get great deals on classroom supplies with their rewards card, get 15% off every purchase.

Chipotle: Buy one, get one Burritos, Salad, Bowls or Tacos.
World of Beer: If you're in NY, you'll recieve $5 off your purchase, but every where else? You can expect free Angry Orchard Cider or Sam Adams. Much deserved.

Chik-fil-a and McDonalds: Deals vary by location. Give your local location a call and see if they're participating.

Make sure you take the time out of your day and thank an educator. My favorite teacher in high school was Ms. McGrail, I'm terrible at math and she made it understandable and fun. With that being said...Thanks Ms.McGrail! Hope you and all the other great teachers out there enjoy your day.
