Why not enjoy Halloween week at one of the Hudson Valley's most historic inns, The Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz. As always the Mohonk staff has planned a holiday themed activities which will leave you with one of a kind memories. The dramatic backdrop of the Mohonk Mountain House makes it the perfect place to spend a spooky weekend and attend a costume ball. The week is full of spooky fun activities for all ages. The fun starts this weekend and runs through November 1st. There will be a Halloween carnival, a costume ball, trick-or-treating, an Escape Rooms, nightly wagon rides and evening campfires plus horror movie marathons.

The Halloween Haunts & Happenings at Mohonk Mountain House kick off on Friday October 26th when you can enjoy the Halloween Carnival where you can meet a fortune teller, carve pumpkins, ghostly games with prizes, eerie story telling and an apple cider donut eating contest. Friday also offers nightly wagon rides, live music and campfire sing-along with Linda Richards

Saturday October 27th is when you can try your luck with the Escape Room, the kids can attend Brick Kids which is fun with LEGO® Bricks. Kids can also meet up with Casey Carr and customize a trick or treat bag which can also be used for other things after Halloween. All materials will be supplied. Magician Anthony Salazar will perform. Afternoon Tea will be served so you can enjoy tea, cider and festive cookies. Saturday the kids can attend the Glow Monster Mash Halloween Party and grown ups can plan to attend the Gala Halloween Costume Ball. Saturday night is capped off with a movie fitting a Mohonk Halloween, The Shining.

Sunday October 28th enjoy two different escape rooms where you solve riddles and puzzle to find your way out. You can make your own picture frame with Casey Carr. Kids club on Sunday will have the children Trick or Treating through the hotel. Enjoy two different Escape Rooms. Solve the puzzles and riddles along the way to see if you can beat the clock and solve the mystery. Guests will need to sign up for a half hour time slot to experience the Escape Room.
On Monday there are more escape rooms and tomahawk throwing. Tuesday wander the trails with naturalist Michael Ridolfo looking for tracks and signs of Black Bears. There will also be an excursion to DuBois Farm to pick apples and pumpkins. Wednesday Halloween enjoy a classic horror movie marathon starting at 9:30 am. You can also learn about designing artificial pumpkins for fun decor. Halloween night attend "Theremin Ghosts" with Robert Milby and Carl Welden.

On Thursday November 1 you can paint your own Day of the Dead ceramic skull. Head out of the hotel for an afternoon at Whitecliff Vineyard for a tour and tasting. The evening movie will be a family favorite "Coco" rated PG. And finally on Friday next week it all wraps up with a Clue Challenge. Join the Mohonk activities staff to see if you can solve who did it, what they used and where they did it in a Mohonk version of the board game clue.
