Veteran's Day is Saturday November 11th.

In celebration of Veteran's Day some businesses are offering free things and discounts for Veterans on Saturday and some throughout the month of November, according to Military.com.

On the food side of things some restaurants are offering free meals including:

Applebee’s is offering Veterans and active-duty military a free meal from a limited menu.

Denny’s will offer active, inactive and retired military personnel a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon at participating locations.

Golden Corral will have their Military Appreciation Monday free dinner on November 17th from 5-9 p.m. Military retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard and reserves are all welcome to enjoy a free dinner.

Hooters is offering veterans and active-duty military a free meal up to $10.99 in value with a drink purchase at participating locations .

Krispy Kreme is offering veterans a free doughnut and small coffee at participating locations.

LongHorn Steakhouse is giving veterans and active-duty service members a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcoholic beverage from a select menu.

Olive Garden is offering veterans and active-duty service members a free meal from a limited menu.

Outback Steakhouse is offering 15 percent off their meals from November 12 through December 31st for active and former service members plus on Veteran's Day they are offering a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage.

Red Lobster will give veterans, retired and active-duty military personnel a complimentary appetizer from a limited menu from November 10-13th.

Texas Roadhouse
will offer veterans, active duty and retired military a free lunch from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Free admission to over 100 national parks on November 11th.

Mohegan Sun is offering active and retired military members a special hotel $99 room rate available from Nov. 10-13.

Home Depot will be offering a 10 percent discount to all veterans on Nov. 11th.

Lowe's will be offering veterans a 10 percent discount in stores only.

If you plan on taking advantage of any of these deals, make sure you check with your location to make sure they are participating in the offers mentioned above.

Most businesses do require proof of military service, which can include a VA Universal Access Card, Military ID, DD-214 (Discharge Papers), Veterans Service Organization Card, a state-issued ID that shows veteran status or in some cases businesses will accept a picture of the veteran in uniform.
