Additional Information

Chanukah is coming, and with it, hands-on holiday fun!

A day of latkes, soufganiyot (jelly doughnuts), music and crafts!

Kids will sculpt, build, melt, color, and create personalized elements of all the facets of Chanukah. Our DIY Chanukah gives children a chance to travel from station to station, with each stop along the way offering a chance for fun. This event is suitable for children young and old, as well as those that are children at heart.

All participants will have a chance to:

*Construct a salt clay menorah; with this medium, kids can fashion their own unique shape and layout.

*Learn the art of creating a candle: dip wicks into wax and form a candle that can be lit for Chanukah!

*When it comes time to light the menorah, a place mat will protect the table from melted wax. Attendees have the opportunity to create a Chanukah place mat complete with candle blessings.

*Decorate holiday cards for your loved ones and extras to be distributed to local area nursing home residents.

*Make crafty gifts—design one to keep and one to give to a friend!

*DIY wrapping paper—what better way to wrap your holiday gifts than with wrapping paper you’ve decorated yourself?

*Make the ultimate Chanukah gelt—decorated in your own style!

*Every Chanukah celebration needs a dreidel. The best ones are ones you decorate yourself!

*Our gift shop will be selling small gift items priced between $1 and $20 and Chanukah candles. And don’t forget the Gelt Grams! Have a bag of gelt and a personalized message delivered to anyone at the event!
