Emotional Photos From Anti-Trump Protest Outside of West Point

President Trump delivered the commencement speech to the graduating officers at West Point. Hundreds of local residents showed up to protest the President's visit to the Hudson Valley.

If you were on scrolling through social media this past weekend you probably noticed that many Hudson Valley residents were wondering why so many helicopters were circling the skies around their home. Security measures were being taken to ensure the president's safety as he addressed the West Point graduates at Michie Stadium on Saturday, June 13.

Protestors arrived at 100 West Point Highway as early as 8:30am for a demonstration for both the Black Lives Matter and Anti-Trump movement. It was an emotional scene as protestors spoke out against the death of George Floyd followed by demonstrators taking a knee for 8 minutes and forty-six seconds to pay their respect to Floyd. For a moment, the protest was interrupted by Pro-Trump supporters.

Despite the opposition, witnesses at the demonstration claim it was a peaceful gathering.
