Mrs. Elizabeth Hogan, affectionately known as Betty, closed her eyes for the final time on January 4th.  Born in the Bronx on March 21, 1938, Betty was one of Elsie and Arthur Geisler’s 7 children, brothers Barry and Butch Geisler and sister Beverly Tarver preceded her in death, and she is survived by brothers Danny and Lenny Geisler and Kenny Conrad.  Betty married James “Whitey” Hogan in 1959 who preceded her in passing and leaves behind loving children Anthony Alfalla and Daughter in Law Susan, Michael Hogan and wife Alice, Debbie Stopa-Hogan and wife Tracy, and Denise Andersen and husband Erik.  She was a loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Betty and Whitey left the Bronx for Dutchess County in 1962 where the settled in Lagrange NY.  They were proprietors of the Klondike Inn from 1972-1982 before moving to Hopewell Junction.  She finished her long and rewarding career as a bus driver for the Arlington School District.  Betty stayed active in her retirement spending time with her family and  the Beloved Golden Girlfriends  She was a dear friend to so many her loss will surely be widely felt.  Those who knew her best know that she’d demand we not fuss over her too much; she would want us to smile thinking of her as we go about our day.

Friends may call on Thursday January7, 2016 from 6-8pm at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 1028 Main Street Fishkill.  A Funeral Service will be held at 7:30pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be private.
