People Attempt to Save A Deer Trapped Under A Fence in New York
This past week, they shared a story of a small deer that had to be rescued from a fence by a group of good Samaritans. Lucky Rehab designated him a button buck and described how the small deer was found trapped under the fence at Community Bank.

Numerous people came out to assist with getting the deer freed from the fence. They managed to get the deer sedated and cut the fence. Once freed, he was taken to Lucky Rehabilitation for care. They currently have quite a few deer at their center who are being rehabbed until they can return to the local woods.

Deer Rescued From Bank Fence Severely Injured
Even though the deer did receive good care, it was determined that his injuries were too severe, so sadly, the deer was not going to be able to recover after being trapped under the fence. Lucky Rehab didn't list the specific injuries but did mention that they made the decision to humanely euthanize the deer.
They had hoped for a happy ending as they do for all the wildlife they care for, but unfortunately, this little one's story didn't get a happy ending. They also expressed their appreciation to all who dropped everything to help.
