Ana Elizabeth Torres, 56, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 2006 and formerly of the Bronx, died on June 15, 2016 at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.

Born in El Salvador on March 24, 1960, she was the daughter of Jose Manuel Arzola and Blanca Gladys Martinez. Ana was employed as a school aide for the Board of Education in the Bronx. As an independent businesswoman, she sold Avon for 35 years; however, being a mother was her first passion and priority.

On July 17, 1985 in the Bronx, Ana married Enrique Torres, Sr., who survives at home. She is also survived by children and their spouses, Napoleon Martinez and Michelle Staley, Jorge Martinez, Elizabeth Torres and Alberto Garcia III, Ariana Torres and Adilson R. Mayen, and Enrique Torres, Jr.; her grandchildren, Liam Henrick Mayen, Adam Edinson Mayen, Evan Martinez, Amber Elizabeth Martinez and Aiden Luna Martinez; her siblings, Israel Cortez, Napoleon Martinez and Adele Martinez; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Alyssa Mayen Torres.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10:30am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
