Are you sure you want to get rid of him? This elderly lobster could make a great feast. Who's got butter?

I've learned so much about lobsters since I've moved to the east coast. Did you know that in the 1700 and 1800's lobster was fed to prisoners because they were bottom feeders? It's hard to imagine today, isn't it?

According to the New York Post, there's a restaurant right here in the state of New York called Peter's Clam Bar that claims to have the oldest lobster in captivity. His name is Louie and yes, he's supposedly 132 years old.

He weighs almost 25 lbs. Is your mouth watering yet? Yours wouldn't be the only one. Someone tried to chow down on Louie for a father's day meal.

Luckily, the owners declined the large offer. They now plan to set Louie free into the wild.

Thankfully for us, he should be old and slow. We can probably catch him pretty easily.
