Lena Suraci, a Former Bronx Resident, Dies at 94

Lena was active with the Democratic Club in Rockland County and loved to argue politics; making you see her point. She loved to shop and look for a bargain. The matriarch of the family, she was known for the 3 F's: family, food and fun.
Survivors include her children, Maria Price and her husband, Bill, Joann Anderson and her husband, Fred, Dennis Suraci and his wife, Ann Marie, Genna Suraci and her partner, Debbie Gould, and Armond Suraci and his wife, Anna Marie; her 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Antonio and Laura Pietrolungo; her husband of 50 years, Armond Suraci; as well as her two brothers.
Family will receive friends on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow in Rose Hills Memorial Park, Mill Street in Putnam Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
