Robert E. Williams, a Montgomery Resident, Dies at 74

Robert E. Williams of Montgomery, NY, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2017, in Poughkeepsie. He was 74.

The son of the late Albert F. and Alice Timberger Williams, he was born November 29, 1942 in Newburgh.

Bobby worked as a caretaker for St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery.

Survivors include his wife Bridget Williams at home; sons Cory Williams of Montgomery, Richard Purdy & Margaret of Walden, James Purdy of Montgomery; daughter Jodi Parker & Bill of Newburgh; 6 grandchildren Tasha, Tristan, Brooke, Tyler, Cheyanne,Brittney, one great granddaughter Liliana Rose; brother Silas Williams & Lillian of Catskill, sisters Judith McKnight of Plattekill, Bonnie Steinhilber of Wallkill, Brenda Bisignano & Joseph of Monticello and Lisa Hedrick & Randal of Lake George; numerous nieces and nephews

Along with his parents he was predeceased by his granddaughter Sasha Lee and father-In-law Donald Armour

Visitation will be Monday, October 16, 2017 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

A funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

A memorial mass will take place Saturday, October 21, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.
