Tommie Loving Sr., A Former Austin Resident, Dies at 66
"GONE FISHING" is the sign Tommie Loving Sr. left for us as he entered Heaven’s Gate on Tuesday January 10, 2017. Tommie was 66 years of age. He was born in Austin Texas, and was the son of Alton Brown Sr. and Fannie “Mother" Cook. Tommie was known as "Tee" by all that knew and loved him and worked at "A Friends House" as an Overnight Resident Counselor for the past 8 years.
He was survived by his wife Toni Wilder Loving, his daughter Dr. Melanie P. Manor of Texas and his son Tommie Loving Jr. of New York, as well as his stepsons Lawrence and Darren both of Newburgh, New York and his stepson Jason (who has since passed). Tommie was also survived by his brothers Sylvester Loving, Ricky Goree Sr., Alton Brown Jr., William Brown, Cleavon Manor and sisters Angel Brown, Carla Rena Brown, Vonnie Manor, Jackie Manor, Pamela Manor and predeceased by his brother Curtis Brown. Tommie leaves a host of nieces, nephews and many friends.
Services will be held at Brooks Funeral Home 481 Gidney Avenue, Newburgh, New York 12550 on Sunday January 15, 2017. Viewing is from 11-1pm and services from 1-3pm. His daughter Dr. Melanie P. Manor and her husband Dr. Vincent D.R. Manor I, will officiate the service. Please join us in a celebration of Tommie Loving Sr.'s life.
