It's the news we've been waiting for, at least me and my friends have at least.

When it comes to what's opening in and around the Hudson Valley, we've been restlessly waiting for when TJ Maxx and HomeGoods would be opening their doors.

Earlier this week, Albany locations opened their doors and were met with long lines and wait times. The Connecticut locations have been open and are seeing products flying off the shelves.

Needless to say, we want our TJ Maxx and HomeGoods shopping options.

Well, we reached out to Kimberly Barela-Lasher of the Poughkeepsie Plaza, where TJ Maxx and HomeGoods reside in the Hudson Valley, and she tells us that we have a tentative opening date:

June 22nd, 2020.

Once again, this is a tentative date and is subject to change. But we really hope it doesn't.

Everyone let out that deep breath you've been holding in. You'll be able to get your clothes and candles soon.

When we are finally able to head into our favorite establishment, we will be met with a new way of life.

TJ Maxx and HomeGoods will be following new CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. Customers must wear masks and practice social distancing rules. Employees will be wearing masks and keep areas clean. There will be directional arrows down the aisles and plexiglass between the customer and the register.

At this point, I will do just about anything to get back to HomeGoods. So wearing a mask and waiting in line is nothing.

There are some reports that different locations are only letting in a certain amount of people at a time. So if you plan on heading out on June 22nd to shop, be prepared to be met with the new shopping normal.
