The Howard Johnson’s in Saugerties, which served many Ulster County residents and people traveling through Ulster County for decades, has now reopened.

It’s always sad to see a favorite restaurant close, as was the case with Bella Luna, but it’s great news when a new place comes in to take over an otherwise empty spot.

What a great way to kick off the weekend. A family friendly concert outside in one of the most charming towns in the Hudson Valley.

It was such a huge success that they’ve decided to expand to monthly dinners.

This is not just any building, this is a building that will bring joy to your entire family this summer.

We wish them good luck in their new space. And, congratulations to Kingston, which just got a bit tastier.

It’s always sad to see a business close, but there is something particularly melancholy about a business closing when that business has been around for so many years that you don’t remember a time when it wasn’t there.
