Kathleen Blackler, a Longtime Dutchess County Resident, Dies at 75
Daughter of the late Patrick and Alice (McGloin) Woods, she was born in Brooklyn on November 17, 1942. On May 17, 1967, she married Stephen F. Blackler, Jr. at Holy Name Church in Brooklyn. She and Stephen then relocated to Staten Island, where they remained until moving to Wappingers Falls with their three children in 1975. Kathy and Stephen recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. She enjoyed hobbies such as sewing and cooking, but more importantly, she will be remembered for her generous spirit. Kathy lived her life selflessly and continually strived to improve the welfare of others, be it family, friends, or strangers. She contributed to the Fishkill Food Pantry on a regular basis, and cooked meals for those who were in need, especially during the Holiday Season. She also supported the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Debra Keindl and Steven , and their children, Kyle, Jessica, Steven, Dylan Keindl, Sharon Russell-Chase and Glenn, Carolyn O'Neal and Danny, and their children, Carolyn, Wesley and his wife Brianna, Alex and Bennie O'Neal, Kathy Macrillo and children, Carlina and Carter Macrillo, and their father Mark, Stephanie Wallaert and Thibaud, and their child, Sloane Wallaert, honorary daughter, Patrice Schiavo, Great grandchildren, Cora, Vincent Macrillo, and Conner Keindl, her brother, Rev. Robert Panek. The family would like to thank the staff at Wingate in Fishkill for their excellent care and compassion.

She was a graduate of Vassar College, class of 2014 with a Bachelors in Political Science and English. Hadley was an avid reader and writer, she had been working on a book to be published late this year. From November 2016 to May 2017 she was an intern for Prentis Literary Agency in Newburgh, NY. Prior to that he was also an intern at Werwick and Pratt Agency, Beacon, NY, with a part time position as a library assistant at Vassar College Library in Poughkeepsie, NY from May 2011 to May 2014. Hadley was an angel taken away far too soon. She loved with a full heart and had an uncanny ability to reach the people she so loved with such deep passion.

Louise worked as a Physical Therapy Aide and was a member of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. She enjoyed many hobbies, such as gardening, painting, playing with her dogs, travel, shopping, and visits to the casino. She loved babies and children. She cherished spending time with her family and showering them with gifts. On November 26, 1949, she married Henry J. Tonyes, Jr. at St. Monica’s Church in Queens. They were married for 68 years. Henry survives at home.

Born on June 9, 1943 in the Bronx, he was son of the late Alfonso and Mary (LaCavalla) Campanaro. He graduated from Evander Childs High School in the Bronx, Mechanics Institute in Manhattan, and Westchester Community College. Al worked for Ricola U.S.A., retiring as V.P. of Sales in 2006. He had previously worked for Richter Bros., Sara Lee Corp, Paul Sayers, and D.C. Sales.

Born in Brooklyn on August 31, 1937, he was the son of Michael and Bridget (Kenoy) Cassidy. Francis served in the US Army Reserves and was employed as a Finance Manager with IBM in East Fishkill and Poughkeepsie for 30 years until his retirement in 1994. He was a parishioner of St. Denis Church, and was an avid golfer and fan of the New York Mets.
