Scarlett Johansson has purchased a $4 million home right here in the Hudson Valley.

It seems as if we're being invaded by Hollywood celebrities. The Hudson Valley has seen an increase in famous residents, as more and more people realize what we've already known; that the Hudson Valley is a great place to live.

James Earl Jones started the trend years ago, taking up residence in Pawling. Other celebrities, including Liam Neeson, Robert DeNiro, Paul Rudd and Mark Ruffalo, have since made our the Hudson Valley their home as well. In fact, Mark Ruffalo and his wife have even become local business owners, opening up their own local shop.

Well, now you can add Scarlett Johansson to the list of big-name celebrities who have decided to plant some roots in the Hudson Valley. According to the New York Post, the Hollywood actress has just purchased a $4 Million dollar home overlooking the Hudson River in Rockland County.

The 4,000-square-foot house sits on a beautifully manicured .79 acres of land near Palisades. The home was designed by architect Eric Gugler, who was also hired by FDR to draw up plans for the West Wing of the White House.
