Six men are all facing felony charges after police located multiple drugs, including psilocybin mushrooms during a traffic stop. 

On February 24, 2018, State Police conducted a traffic on Route 9W in the Town of Lloyd.

During the traffic stop, troopers located psilocybin mushrooms, a hallucinogenic substance, as well as cocaine and marijuana.

The following individuals were arrested:

  • Jared D Miller, 21 of Bellmore, N.Y. - Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance third-degree (class B felony) and Criminal Possession of Marijuana
  • Jared S Cowen, 19 Oceanside, N.Y. - Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance third-degree (class B felony)
  • A charge against a 20-year-old Dix Hills man was later dropped and court records sealed, court documents provided to WPDH indicate
  • Michael J Sardiello, 21 of Dix Hills, N.Y. - Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance third-degree (class B felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance fifth-degree (class D felony), Criminal use of Drug Paraphernalia second-degree, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana
  • Ethan S Teper, 19 of Plainview, N.Y. - Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance third-degree (class B felony)
  • Steven M Estes, 19 of Melville, N.Y.  - Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance (class B felony)

All of the defendants were arraigned before the Town of Lloyd Justice Elia, and remanded to Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail, or $5,000 bond.
