A Hudson Valley business owner is facing multiple felonies after an investigation determined he took thousands of dollars from customers, and never performed any work. 

On February 27, 2018, state police arrested Raymond L. Demayo, 62, of Lagrange, N.Y. DeMayo is the owner of R&D Flooring on Route 22 in the Town of Southeast.

The state police received multiple complaints of fraud from customers of R&D Flooring beginning in September of 2017.

An investigation determined that DeMayo took thousands of dollars in payments from victims, and never performed any work or services in return.

DeMayo was charged with three counts of Grand Larceny third-degree (all class D felonies), two counts Grand Larceny fourth-degree, and Scheme to Defraud first-degree.

DeMayo was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and remanded to Putnam County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, or $20,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court later next month.
