Miriam Theresa Garcey, a Longtime Area Resident, Dies at 91
STORMVILLE - Miriam Theresa Garcey, 91, an area resident for 40 years and formerly of Long Island, died on January 28, 2018.
Born in Astoria on March 7, 1926, she was the daughter of James and Elizabeth (Logan) Devlin. Miriam had worked as a telephone operator for Republic National Bank in New York City.
Miriam was predeceased by her husband, Robert Garcey; and her sons, William and Robert Garcey.
Miriam is survived by her daughter, Lynn Osmers and her husband, Richard of Stormville; her daughter-in-law, Rosalind Garcey; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Christine, Richard, Rachel, Craig, Andrea and Sarah; and her great-grandchildren, Shannon, Amanda, Heather, John, Michael, James, Sean Jr., James, Matthew, Ryan, Emily, Jordan, Jaden, Audrey, Leighla, Addison and Joseph.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
