Wappingers Falls Organization To Appear on Popular NBC Talk Show

A local organization, whose mission is to end the addiction relapse cycle, was welcomed back to a popular NBC talk show.

Hudson Valley Organization Gets Spotlight on The Kelly Clarkson Show

The Kelly Clarkson Show has become the "it" talk show of the moment. Last year, Clarkson invited the ladies of Unshattered from Wappingers Falls to take part in a segment called Rad Humans.

Founder and CEO Kelly Lyndgaard joined Kelly and shared the importance of Unshattered. At the Wappingers Falls New York organization, women overcoming addiction and trauma are given the opportunity to work full-time during their recovery journey.

These women have the option to work for however long they please. At Unshattered they make premium sustainable handbags, made of upcycled materials like interiors from luxury cars.

According to the Unshattered Facebook page, they have a 94% success rate with their employees choosing to remain in long-term sobriety.

During their first appearance, The Kelly Clarkson Show along with Southwest Airlines gifted Unshattered a $100,000 grant as well as leather from over 3,000 Southwest airplane seats to use for future projects.

Kelly Clarkson Show Helps Boost Sales For Wappingers Organization

According to the Unshattered Facebook page, after that first appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show sales and donations were up.

Unshattered writes:

After our appearance on the show last December, we had our highest sales and donations ever!
Adding that the exposure on such a huge platform along with the grant money, impacted and helped expand Unshattered in many ways.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is up and running in New York City for its 6th season and they already have had amazing guests.

It looks like the 2nd episode of the season is welcoming back Kelly Lyndgaard and the team from Unshattered.
