Popular Restaurant has Closed Upstate New York Location
A restaurant and pub with a location in the Hudson Valley has announced it has closed one of its seven New York locations.
One of the more affordable family-friendly restaurants in New York, Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub has announced that they will be permanently closing an upstate New York location "due to many factors".
Ninety-Nine Restaurant & Pub Closing New York Location
The restaurant, which offers classic fare like burgers, wings, salads, and more located at 107 Wolf Road in Colonie, New York will be closing for good as of Sunday, August 11th according to WTEN. The decision to close the popular Coloine restaurant was made after weighing many factors. In this case, because the location's lease was up according to the Ninety Nine President and Chief Financial Officer Kara Jacobs.

In a statement to News 10, Jacobs said,
"We are also deeply grateful for the outstanding work of our operating team. We are working with our team members to either relocate them to other stores and/or support them any way we can in their job search, including offering severance."
Jacobs didn't say which employees would be offered severance if they decided against relocating but did say the company would try to support them in any way possible including offering positions at other locations.
Ninety-Nine Restaurants in New York
The company currently has six other New York locations scattered across New York with the closest to the closing Colonie location being in Saratoga Springs and Queensbury, New York. They also have restaurants in New Hartford, Plattsburgh, Rotterdam, and Kingston, New York according to its website.
Will This Affect the Ninety-Nine Restaurant in Kingston, New York?
We did reach out to the Kingston location by phone and were told that it was business as usual at the restaurant located at 53 Massa Drive in Kingston, NY. The employee we spoke to told us that they will continue to be open during normal business hours on Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., with the bar staying open until 10:30 p.m. each night.
