
Shocking Attack Injures Man on Main Street in Poughkeepsie
A 42-year-old man is recovering after police say two men attacked him with baseball bats in Poughkeepsie, NY.
Two men have been arrested after the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department alleged they repeatedly attacked a man with baseball bats in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., Saturday evening.
Disturbance in Poughkeepsie, NY
According to a recent post on the City of Poughkeepsie PBA Facebook page, it all began on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at approximately 6:04 p.m., when City 911 received a call reporting a disturbance in progress on the 300 block of Main Street in the City of Poughkeepsie.
Officers from the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department (CPPD) were dispatched to the scene to investigate, and when they arrived, they discovered a man with serious injuries.
Baseball Bat Attack in Poughkeepsie, NY
Upon arrival, CPPD officers found a 42-year-old male victim who had sustained serious injuries to his head, face, arms, and back. Police said that the victim had allegedly been struck repeatedly with baseball bats and that the suspects had fled the scene east on Main Street.

Officers quickly began a search for the suspects and were able to locate them in the area of Main Street and Cherry Street a short time later.
Two Men Arrested
The suspects were identified as 20-year-old Edward Hogan III and 33-year-old Jeremeal Robinson. Police didn't say what led to the attack or the victim's identity, but did say that both suspects were charged with 2nd degree assault and 3rd degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. They were also charged with 4th-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
Both suspects were transported to police headquarters for processing and held pending arraignment.
