Newburgh’s Christmas Tree Search Continues!
It’s a heartwarming local tradition that lets residents play a part in selecting this year’s holiday showstopper.
If you’ve got a 25-foot (or taller) Blue Spruce or a similar evergreen towering in your yard, Newburgh wants to hear from you.
Reach out to Omar Balbuena, the City Manager’s Administrative Assistant, at (845) 569-7380 or via email at obpalma@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov, and your tree might just be the one spreading holiday cheer!
Once your tree is picked, Newburgh’s expert Christmas tree elves will take it from there! The Department of Public Works will carefully handle everything, cutting it down and transporting it to City Hall for its grand Broadway debut.
And unlike this year’s Rockefeller Center tree—stirring up a bit of buzz for coming from Massachusetts (yes, an out-of-state tree in New York City!)—Newburgh’s tree will be sticking firmly to its Hudson Valley roots.
No imports necessary; we know how to celebrate community and tradition right in our own backyard!
This tree search isn’t just about finding an impressive evergreen. It’s about bringing the community together and showcasing Hudson Valley pride.
In previous years, trees have come from local spots like New Windsor, the Town of Newburgh, and Marlboro, proving that the Hudson Valley never runs short on holiday spirit/

If you’ve got a tree to donate, here’s your chance to be part of something magical and give Newburgh residents a sparkling holiday centerpiece this season.
