Promoting Outdoor Living and Recreation

At Riverbank State Park in New York City, Governor Hochul launched the “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and social engagement for families and individuals. The campaign encourages people to disconnect from digital devices and enjoy the benefits of outdoor life.

Free Pool Access Across New York State

As a significant part of the campaign, Governor Hochul announced the waiver of swimming pool entry fees at various State Parks for the remainder of the summer. This initiative aims to make recreational opportunities more accessible to families across the state, allowing them to cool off and enjoy the summer heat without financial barriers.
