Hubert W. Mozingo, of New Windsor entered into rest on Monday, November 20, 2017 at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. He was 84 years old.

The son of the late Walter and Effie (Smith) Mozingo, Hubert was born on February 1, 1933 in Kinston, NC.

Hubert was a retired warehouse manager for the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army as a medic.

In addition to his loving wife, Rosina (Oberklammer) Mozingo at home, he leaves behind his beloved daughter, Betty Jean Lazaro and her husband, Felipe of Maybrook; one brother, Wesley Mozingo of North Carolina; two sisters, Sadie Muse of North Carolina and Faye Hillary of Arkansas; one granddaughter, Jennifer Chavez of New Windsor and her companion, Tyler Smith; one great-granddaughter, Cassandra Carmona, and one great- great grandson, Roman Valerio Carmona. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceasing him was a brother James Brent.

Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh.

Memorial visitation will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2017, from 10:00 am to Noon at the funeral home.

Graveside services will take place 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 25, 2017 following the visitation at the Orange County Veteran’s Cemetery, Goshen, NY with military honors.
