Keep your eyes open, because a number of stars from hit television shows will be filming in the Hudson Valley in the coming weeks.

The independent feature film The Buried Girl is scheduled to film in Dutchess County for three weeks. The movie should start filming in the area on Monday, Aug. 7, with production wrapping in the Hudson Valley on Aug. 26.

“The beautiful town of Poughkeepsie will be the backdrop of this film with sites such as the Poughkeepsie Police Station, local residences, Mills Norrie Park and Spackenkill High School taking center stage,” Production Coordinator Ali Weiner wrote in a press release. “We will also be supported by many local restaurants and business throughout the shoot.”

The film is described as a swift-moving, tense and emotionally-fulfilling murder mystery and coming of age story. It stars Oona Laurence (The Beguiled, Pete’s Dragon), Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, The Purge), Brandon Larracuente (13 Reasons Why), Yetide Badaki (American Gods) and James Ransone (The Wire).
