If we're all being honest with ourselves, we're living in tense times. It always nice to see the brighter side of what's going on in our world.

Coming up this week on Wednesday, October 3rd, it's National Coffee With a Cop Day. This national day was created to "encourage communication and positive interactions between law enforcement agencies and the public" according to the official CWAC  Day website.

All across the United States police departments will be taking part in Coffee With a Cop Day. The Hudson Valley is getting in on the action too.

On Wednesday from 4pm until 6pm you can take some time to get to know police officers from the Ulster County Police Department. They'll be hosting CWAC Day at Coffee Beanery and TCBY at 109 Morton Boulevard in Kingston.

The event was shared on Facebook and the flyer reads "No agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns and get to know the officers in your community."

If you have any questions about the event contact Chief Kyle Berardi at (845)382-1111.
