This is some sobering news. It's basically the worst day ever when beer is recalled.

Stella Artois issued a voluntary recall of select bottles of their beer on Monday, April 2. The bottles were recalled because they could possibly contain glass particles. The recall applies strictly to bottles of Stella Artois; cans and kegs are okay, according to the recall.

Select six-packs, 12-packs, 18-packs and 24-packs of the “Best of Belgium” bottles in the US and Canada have been recalled. Certain Stell Artois Légère six-packs and 12-packs have also been recalled in the US.

According to Business Insider, the recall affects less than 1% of Stella Artois bottles sold in the US and Canada. The bottles affected were apparently made in a third-party manufacturing facility.

To find out if bottles of Stella Artois that you have purchased are affected, Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Stella, has created a website to determine what bottles are potentially dangerous. You can also call their recall hotline at (855) 215-5824.
