Police warn fentanyl-laced cocaine is being sold in the Hudson Valley which led to one drug-related death and three overdoses.

On Saturday, members of the Kingston Police Department’s Patrol Division and Detective Division responded to a call regarding multiple overdoses that occurred inside a residence.

Arriving police found one person dead from an overdose and three others who overdosed and needed immediate medical attention, officials say. Those three survived.

Cops found a white powder inside the home which tested posted for tested positive for the presence of cocaine and fentanyl, according to the Kingston Police Department.

The three surviving adults told police they were not aware the cocaine contained fentanyl, which is an extremely potent synthetic opioid that is lethal in relatively small doses.

"If you know of anyone who is an abuser of cocaine or any other illegal substance, please inform them that they may be at risk for exposure to fentanyl," the Kingston Police Department said in a press release.
