After last week's various information leaks, two more local retailers have leaked customer data.

Both Best Buy and Sears have been affected by a major data breach. According to USA Today, the company that hosts their online chat system, [24]7.ai, was recently hacked. Potentially, the payment details of 100,000 customers could have been exposed. The leak apparently happened in fall 2017.

Like Best Buy, Sears and Delta Airlines use the same chat system host and believe their customers have also been affected. Sears said that up to 100,000 customers credit card information had been compromised, according to USA Today.

These three companies having data leaks come after a week of various local retailer data breaches. Companies like Saks Off 5th, Lord &Taylor, and Panera Bread all had recent customer information leaks. Even a Hudson Valley hospital suffered a data breach.

Delta Airlines is one of the airlines that fly out of Stewart Airport. Best Buy has locations in Poughkeepsie, Middletown, Kingston, Mohegan Lake, and Monroe. Sears has a location in Newburgh and Yorktown Heights.
