William M. Albrecht, a South Carolina Resident, Dies at 81

William M. Albrecht, 81, of Indian Land, SC, died Tuesday, September 26, 2017. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., he was the son of William and Anna (McCormack) Albrecht. "Bill" graduated from Cardinal Hayes High School and Manhattan College, both in the Bronx. He leaves behind his beloved wife Ann, son William Albrecht (Debra), daughter Tricia Wendover (Dan), Eileen Clark (Scott), and daughter-in-law Kris Albrecht. He was predeceased in death by his son Robert Albrecht. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Amanda, Marilyn, Matthew, Daniel, Kristen, Katelyn, Becca, and James who brought much joy to his life. Bill worked as an Engineer at IBM in East Fishkill for over 25 years. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and the Knights of Columbus in Wappingers Falls for many years, and volunteered as a Coach of Softball and Basketball for the St. Mary's CYO. Bill was a dedicated family man who loved spending time with family and telling stories. He was also an avid Yankees fan. Bill and Ann relocated to the Charlotte, NC area in 2015, where he was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls, Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's Church, Clinton St., Wappingers Falls, N.Y. Burial St. Mary's Cemetery.
