When it comes to liberals, which Hudson Valley town would reign supreme? According to a new study one town not only reigned supreme locally, but it was in the top three for the most liberal city in the United States.

Crowdpac set out to find which cities and towns in America were the most liberal and conservative. The study looked at all political donations to candidates on the federal and state level since 2002, and calculated a political ideology score for every town in America with a population greater than 6,000.

The study found that Rosendale, in the center of Ulster County, contains the third most liberals in the entire United States! Only Ridgefeld Park, New Jersey and Vashon Island, Washington, which placed first, has more liberals than the town right here in the Hudson Valley!

In total Crowdpac ranked 4994 different American cities and towns. How liberal is your hometown? Below is a list of all the cities and towns, listed by Crowdpac, in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan, and Ulster counties and where they rank in the country.
