It's the first full weekend of Spring and Easter weekend, so whether you are celebrating the holiday or the season there's plenty to do this weekend with family and friends.

 

Saturday, March 26, 8-10 am: In honor and memory of John Flowers, the annual John Flowers Easter Egg Hunt will have over 15,000 hidden Easter eggs for inner city children in Poughkeepsie at Waryas Park. Habitat for Humanity will also be lending a hand for the day's festivities.

Saturday, March 26, 8 am: Early Spring Waterfowl Migration at Basha Kill in Wurtsboro. Meet walk leader John Haas at the parking lot on Haven Road, binoculars or scope and boots will be helpful. See early ducks, geese, mergansers and additional species. The walk lasts about 2 hours. Sponsored by the Basha Kill Area Association.

Saturday, March 26, 10 am: Spring Wake-up Hike at Minnewaska State Park. Join Becca Howe, Student Conservation Association/AmeriCorp member, and celebrate the springing of spring with a seven mile hike along Castle Point Carriage Road. You'll follow historic carriage roads to reach Castle Point, a scenic vista with commanding views of the surrounding Park Preserve and Hudson Valley. Please meet at the Nature Center. Saturday, March 26, 9:30 and 11:00: It's all about Hippity Hoppity Bunnies at the Outdoor Discovery Center at Hudson Highlands Nature Museum. Environmental Educators will be on hand to answer questions about bunnies, you'll get to meet some domestic bunnies, and make a bunny craft to take home. Register here.
