Have you heard of it? Pickleball? Me neither.

According to the United States of America Pickleball Associtation, USAPA, this is what it is:

A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.

Over the last seven months, the City of Kingston has teamed up with Pickleball players, the Kingston YMCA and the City of Kingston Parks Department to develop a place for players to play the game outside.

All of the hard work and planning has come to fruition and the first Pickleball courts in Kingston were opened last week. The court is located in Kingston's Loughran Park. According to a press release from Kingston's Mayor Noble, they hope to have three additional Pickleball courts by next year.

Do you play Pickleball? Are you a member of the USAPA? How would you describe it to someone who knows nothing about it?
