It's that time of year when all your favorite shows go on a break for the holidays, and the networks fill that time with the classic Christmas specials through the years. Rudolph the Red-Nosed ReindeerFrosty The SnowmanHow The Grinch Stole Christmas, etc. There's a whole bunch of them - but which is the one for you that you feel the need to watch every year?

For me, it's A Charlie Brown Christmas. I'm a big fan of Peanuts and the kind of melancholy, self-defeating tone the special evokes before ultimately leading to joyousness and togetherness and funky jazz tunes. The older ones that have been on the air since the '50s and '60s are the ones that everyone knows, so they probably have an advantage.

But maybe there's a more contemporary one out there that you love? For example, I love "Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas," a season 2 episode of Community that pays homage to classic stop-motion Christmas specials while being entirely its own thing.

So how about you? What's the one Christmas special you can't spend the holiday season without?
