Wednesday will be bitterly cold and breezy for the Hudson Valley.  Daytime temps will only be in the mid 30’s but with the northwest wind, it will feel much colder.  Wednesday night will be frigid for the area and the coldest night we’ve seen thus far.  Temps will go down to the low 20’s.

Thursday night into Friday our next storm system will bring snow, then sleet, then rain to the Hudson Valley.  Right now, the Poughkeepsie area is looking at about one or two inches of snow.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Wednesday:  Mostly sunny, high near 36.  Northwest wind around 10mph.

Wednesday Night:  Partly cloudy, with a low around 23.

Thursday: A chance of snow, mainly after 4pm. High near 32. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday Night:  Snow before 1am, then sleet. Low around 28.

Friday:  Sleet before 10am, then rain. High near 39.
