Sullivan County Manager Joshua Potosek has announced the opening of two warming centers in the county; one in Monticello and one in Liberty.  The centers will open at noon on Wednesday, December 27th and remain open until at least 4 pm on Sunday, December 31st.

The Monticello warming center is located at the Ted Stroebele Recreation Center, 5 Jefferson Street and the Liberty warming center is at the United Methodist Church located at 170 North Main Street in Liberty.

"Due to the bitterly cold temperatures already blanketing the region, these centers will remain open to the public day and night during that period which may be extended depending on the weather" said Potosek.
