Vera M. Palmatier, 80, of Highland, NY passed away on Saturday, March 25th at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Vera was born January 17, 1937 in Great Barrington, MA the daughter of the late George W. King, Sr and Myrtle E. Woodin. She worked locally as a house keeper for several motels in Highland and New Paltz. Vera was married to Edward G. Palmatier. Her loving husband passed away in 1988.
She is survived by her three sisters: Jessie Palmateer of New Paltz, NY, Mary Palmateer and husband David of Highland, NY, and Patricia Rhodes and husband Daniel of Pennsylvania, her Brother Richard King and wife Cindy of Modena, NY. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, Vera was predeceased by her brothers George King, Jr and Edward David King, and her brother in law Robert Palmatier.
Calling hours will take place Wednesday, March 29th from 5pm-8pm at The Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main Street, Highland, NY 12528. A Funeral Home service will be held Thursday, March 30th followed by burial in Lloyd Cemetery next too her husband.
