Ulster County Sheriff Explains NFL Boycott Post
Over the weekend a Hudson Valley Sheriff caused a stir on social media with his post about boycotting the NFL.
Ulster County Sheriff, and President of 94.3/97.3 The Wolf morning show, Paul Van Blarcum posted on the Ulster County Sheriffs Office Facebook page on Saturday, Nov. 11 in honor of Veterans Day.
The post went on to urge people to boycott the NFL because of how the players are protesting. If you haven't been paying attention, NFL players have been taking a knee during the National Anthem in protest of police brutality.
Van Blarcum wrapped up his Facebook post by saying:
They have a right to protest if they want to, but during the National Anthem is NOT the time or venue! They show an utter lack of patriotism and total disrespect for our veterans – living and dead – and everything that they put their lives on the line for!
We had the pleasure of speaking with Van Blarcum this morning to discuss his actions over the weekend. Take a listen to the interview below.
