It's not too early to start talking about snow right?

Okay maybe a little earlier, but in this case it's better to be prepared.

Ulster County Sheriff Paul VanBlarcum announced on Tuesday morning a Snowmobile Safety Course on Facebook. The Ulster County Sheriffs office will be sponsoring two New York State Young Operators and Adult Certification Courses for snowmobiles.

If you're a snowmobile rider between the ages of 10 and 17 these courses are required by New York State Law. The courses are free and will take place on December 2nd, at the West Hurley Firehouse, (24 Wall Street, West Hurley) and on December 10th at the Tillson Firehouse (5 Tillson Rd) both events will run from 9am until 5pm.

While the course is focused on training ages 10-17 adults are welcomed. If you're interested in signing your child up for these snowmobile courses call the Ulster County Sheriffs Office at (845) 340-3803. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Pizza and soda will be provided or students can bring a bagged lunch.
