A chilly and windy day for the Hudson Valley.  A cold front moved through the region Monday night, which ushered in much cooler air.  High pressure will build in during the afternoon on Tuesday and will help the winds to die down.

Tuesday we’ll see plenty of sunshine, but temps will only be in the mid 50’s.  Factor in the Northwest wind and it will feel colder.  Mornings temps could feel like the mid 30’s.

Another cold front will be some scattered showers on Wednesday, and will usher a colder air mass.  The coolest air yet for the area.  There will be widespread frost Wednesday night.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday: Sunny and chilly, with a high near 56. Northwest wind around 9 mph.

Tuesday Night:  Mostly clear, with a low around 41.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Southwest wind 6 to 14 mph. A chance of rain in the afternoon.
