Toys R Us Founder Dies At Age 94

Is this a coincidence or perfect timing?

On Thursday, March 22, the Toys R Us Founder, Charles Lazarus, died at age 94. No cause of death has been stated. Lazarus opened the first Toys R Us in 1957, according to Bloomberg.

Recently, Toys R Us has begun liquidating its stores and closing all their locations, after filing for bankruptcy back in Sep. 2017. With the liquidation, people only have a short amount of time to use gift cards for the store.

Toys R Us has locations in Poughkeepsie, Middletown, Kingston and the Woodbury Commons Outlets. The Kingston location was supposed to close in April 2018, but it will likely close when the rest of the locations do.
