The inaugural film festival is making its debut in Sullivan County this fall.

According to a press release, the Catskill International Film Festival will be holding its debut event in Callicoon this year. Specifically, it will be held at the Callicoon Theater and the Western Hotel. The festival is running from Friday, September 7 through Sunday, September 9.

Previously, the festival was held in Monroe. Last year, the film festival group took a break to reorganize and find a new location closer to the Catskills. The festival originally ran in Monroe for two years.

Like most film festivals, the Catskill International Film Festival will be featuring indie films. You can find the movie schedule here. The most famous film they are showing is Milk, a film about politician Harvey Milk.

Tickets are already on sale and vary in price. You can get a 2-hour viewing pass for $12 or go all out and get the all-access pass for $75, that gives you access to the entire film lineup for the full weekend.
