A 13-year-old boy is accused of making a terrifying clown-related terroristic threat against a Hudson Valley middle school.

On Monday, City of Poughkeepsie Police learned about a Facebook profile from a person calling themselves “Kluster thee Klown.” The profile stated, “If you want to die come to PMS on Friday,” PMS meaning Poughkeepsie Middle School.

The profile picture was photo of a creepy clown. Under the photo “Stabber at Killer,” “Killer at Poughkeepsie Middle School,” and “Studied How to kill people at Vassar College,” were listed.

City of Poughkeepsie Police began an investigation into the threat. On Tuesday, police identified the person who allegedly made the profile as a 13-year-old boy from Ulster County.

The 13-year-old made the post to prank classmates from his old school, police say.

He will be charged through Dutchess County Family Court with making a terroristic threat. A City of Poughkeespie Police spokesperson told Hudson Valley Post that is all the information they are releasing.

The arrest comes at a time when tensions are very high, when it comes to clowns in the local area. Orange County police investigated photos of a clown holding a rifle on a bridge. Monday, S.S. Seward was placed on lock down after reports of a clown in the woods near the high school.

The City of Poughkeepsie Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the New York State Police Troop K Computer Crimes Unit, The City of Poughkeepsie School District and the Dutchess County Attorney’s Office.

In the wake of the all clown reports, the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office released some helpful information for anyone concerned about the creepy clowns.
