A Hudson Valley man who worked as a teacher and high school coach admitted he raped a minor multiple times.

On Monday in Westchester County Court, Tyler Sick of Tarrytown was sentenced to 10 years probation following his guilty plea to two counts of felony rape. Sick confessed he raped someone under the age of 17.

Sick was a teacher in the Bronx and a wrestling coach at Edgemont High School in Scarsdale, according to CBS.

Among the conditions of his probation, Sick surrendered his teaching license and will have to register as a sex offender.

Sick was arrested in November 2017, for having illegal sexual contact with a minor. At the time of his arrest, Greenburgh police said they investigated after police were told about illegal contact with a minor.

Assistant Westchester District Attorney Mary Clark-DiRusso, the Deputy Chief in the Special Prosecutions Division, told that court that the probation sentence was agreed to at the request of the victim’s family, according to the Westchester District Attorney's Office.

Sick petitioned the court to allow him to move permanently to North Carolina where he has family. It's now up to probation authorities in North Carolina as to whether they will accept the transfer of his probation.

Sick must remain in Westchester until a decision is made.
