The recent thunder storm caused a power outage in Kingston and one local candy shop decided to not let their ice cream go to waste.

Powerful storms swept through the area Tuesday and damage was widespread. A place the Hudson Valley comes together to watch a ball game wasn't spared. Dutchess Stadium has some cleanup work to do too.

It looks like Poughkeepsie's newest holiday tradition took a page right out history and didn't make it through its first Hudson Valley ice age. The month of December brought colder weather, stuffed bellies and stuffed stockings. It also brought the newest Christmas decoration in the Hudson Valley, the mighty Tree-Rex.

A lot of Hudson Valley residents are looking for a more intimate way to avoid frost bite. Lonely people are looking for warm bodies. Is that a coincidence or just basic human survival instincts?
