A teenager from Sullivan County is accused of leading police on a high speed chase on a motorcycle.

Liberty Police arrested an 18-year-old man from Liberty for reckless driving, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, misdemeanors, and several traffic tickets.

The man, who may be eligible for youthful offender status due to his age, allegedly led police on a high speed chase in an unregistered and uninsured motorcycle. Police say the unnamed teenager led police on a chase at speeds of over 80 miles per hour within the Village of Liberty.

Due to the dangerous nature of the situation, officals stopped chasing the teen. He was located a short time later and arrested. He was released on $250 bail.
