It will be a stormy day for the Hudson Valley, as a cold front begins to move into the area.  The morning hours will remain quite humid and sticky, temps will still be in the mid 70’s.  Ahead of this cold front, there front that will pass through the area around noon or 1pm.  This will touch off some storms.  Then the front will move through during the afternoon and early evening period.

Once we get past lunch, it appears we will have some pretty good storms.  They are saying heavy rain and downpours, so flash flooding may be an issue.

The good news, on the other side, nice weather.  More seasonal, sunny and mid 80’s for the rest of the week into the weekend.

Here’s the latest forecast from the National Weather Service:

Tuesday:  Mostly cloudy to start the day, then showers and thunderstorms by afternoon. Low around 74.  There will be some strong storms with locally heavy rainfall.

Tuesday night:  Showers and thunderstorms early, then cloudy over to partly cloudy.  Low around 61.

Wednesday:  Sunny, high near 83.
