No, it's not a joke. Many people in the Hudson Valley are waking up to snow this morning.

You probably noticed that the weather has become much colder this week. It's no denying that summer is officially over and fall is now in full effect. But some Hudson Valley towns have skipped right to winter this morning.

A photo from Fred A. Kahn in Liberty shows a good amount of snow piled up on cars and grassy areas outside his home. According to Kahn, he woke up at 3:30am on Thursday and looked out his window to see a blanket of snow.

Liberty and other towns in Sullivan County did see snow last night. Thankfully, the white stuff has stopped and there have been no major accumulations on roadways. But, this is a sober reminder that winter will be here before you know it.
